What is the PRR – Recovery and Resilience Plan?
The PRR is the national instrument of the EC approved Recovery and Resilience Mechanism. It aims to accelerate economic and social recovery and promote a resilient and fair transformation, putting Portugal on the path of the double transition, green and digital. The PRR brings together a strategic vision, reforms and structural investments to be implemented by 2026. It was organized into 3 strategic dimensions, Resilience, Climate Transition and Digital Transition, which group 20 components, 83 investments and promote 7 reforms.
What is the total amount of funding program?
In total, there are 16,644 million euros in funding from the PRR, divided into 13,944 million euros in grants (84%) and 2,700 million euros in loans through Banco de Fomento (16%).
How to access PRR support?

Is the PRR the only EU funding program for the next decade?
Do not. There are other types of support available, such as the remainder of Portugal 2020, REACT EU and the next 2021/2027 financial framework, as well as community funding sources such as Horizonte 2030.
